Get involved with Enterprise Olympics!

We are currently planning Enterprise Olympics; our flagship secondary school event, taking place on May 12-13, 2020 at Northern College in Timmins and May 27-28 at Lakehead University/Confederation College in Thunder Bay.  Enterprise Olympics is a youth business pitch competition that draws students from across Northeastern Ontario. Students are divided into teams based on industry sectors and mentored by local entrepreneurs as they conceptualize their business ideas and prepare their pitch. Winning teams for each business sector will be awarded a $500 cash prize. One team will also be selected as the overall Enterprise Olympics winner and receive a shared $1,000 cash prize AND $1000 scholarship to a participating Northern Ontario post-secondary institution.  Enterprise Olympics provides vital opportunities for youth to gain career experience by facilitating opportunities for networking, mentoring, and skill building.

Check out the Enterprise Olympics video here.

The search is on for volunteers as mentors and judges for this exclusive event.

Participate as a mentor to help motivate and guide students as they prepare their pitches. Mentors advise students as they prepare their pitches and draw on their own experiences to offer input throughout the project. Mentors are an integral part of Enterprise Olympics because they provide real world knowledge to the students as they prepare to take the next step in their careers.

You can also participate as a Sector Judge for one of the six sectors. Each sector will have a panel of judges, and the winners move on to the grand prize pitch competition.  Judges will evaluate the business pitches based on a scoring rubric that is provided. As a member of the business community, your insight will provide valuable feedback to participants.
